We had loads of fun photographing Alison and Carter’s wedding at world class resort Auberge du Soleil.

Nestled on the hills of scenic Napa Valley, California overlooking vineyards, it was indeed a perfect setting for the exchange of vows timed before sunset.

As guests mingled, we unobtrusively scattered among them to capture the joyful mood of the event. The restaurant manager from upstairs pointed out an ideal spot in his restaurant from which to photograph a bird’s eye view of the guests. That’s what we call good service!

The sculpture garden was perfect for the bride and groom to take a private stroll. And for us to capture some images of the couple freshly cloaked with the exuberance of being married.

They are such a loving couple and enjoy having fun together – it’s infectious and outright contagious! That’s the way a wedding should be – to enjoy this precious day with each other and with the company you invited.

Charles, who used to work in the U.S. military, still keep up with his buddies from the force. They were part of his bridal party and were so much fun to work and photograph with that even I feel like joining in every single bit of activity and action!

The same is true of Therese’s girls! They enjoy each other’s company and can’t seem to contain themselves goofing up every chance they had.

There were so much excellent contents from the wedding that Melissa and I literally had a difficult time when it came to image selection. No doubt designing the wedding album was very very fun.

We can’t wait to invite Therese & Charles back to review AND re-live their wedding day on our projection screen!

Dear William,

I received today, by email, the link to the images of Anna and Christopher’s July 19 wedding. I just have looked through them for the second time today.

When looking for a photographer to shoot the most important event in your child’s life, it is very difficult to know exactly what qualities should take priority. Just because a photographer can show you a portfolio of images with good composition, doesn’t necessarily mean that he or she will have the intuition to be able to capture what is important in your event.

When looking at your website during the process of choosing a photographer, Anna and I were taken by the quality of your images. We went to the section of your website “about us” section where your philosophy is stated. It is there, we found the photographer we knew would capture the special moments of this life event.

From our first telephone conversation through the wedding itself, you were caring and understanding of our needs. We appreciated so much, you taking the time to meet with us prior to the wedding, at our home, to acquaint yourself with the special challenges our home wedding might create.

I could tell from that meeting, that you are an observer. You are so good at anticipating moments and knowing what is about to happen and being ready for that moment.

No matter how big or small a wedding, as the mother of the groom and host of the event, it is very easy to miss some of the major moments. I had confidence that there would be none lost, even if I missed some of them. It is great to see the moments captured from a different perspective!

In seeing these images today, I know we made the correct choice in photographers. A simple thank you is entirely inadequate to express my heartfelt appreciation for your patience, kindness and keen eyes. More than good composition, you captured those precious memories that someone else might have missed.

The wedding itself was so lovely and touching that many of the guests were literally moved.

Convinced that there is a trend out there looking for all things natural and simple, this shoot’s theme was just simply that, natural and “in your setting”. Skilled as always in her own makeup, Jane pulled together the requisite looks and outfits and the results are as always, awesome 2010 shoot!

We are impressed on how well the pictures turned out, with very little effort on our part.

There were no posing (impossible anyway with 2 very active boys) and we were just strolling in the park, and William was able to capture the moment, and the pictures turn out perfect!
